Lilac Sugar Cookies With A Lilac Vanilla Glaze

Servings 3 Dozen

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 Cups Flour
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1 Cup Butter (Can Substitute Coconut Oil)
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 2 tsps. Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 Cups Lilac Blossoms, Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar (GLAZE)
  • 1/2 tsp. Pure Vanilla Extract (GLAZE)
  • "Pinch" Salt (GLAZE)
  • "Some" Half & Half (GLAZE)
  • "Some" Chopped Lilac Blossoms (GLAZE)

Instructions

  1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 DEGREES

  2. Cream together room temperature butter and sugar.

  3. Add the chopped lilac blossoms and combine.

  4. Add one egg and the vanilla.

  5. Mix well.

  6. In a separate mixing bowl combine the flour, salt and baking powder. Whisk to combine,

  7. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and stir well.

  8. Form dough into one inch balls and place on cookie sheets.

  9. Flatten each cookie with the bottom of a glass dipped in sugar.

  10. Bake at 350 Degrees for 12-13 minutes.

  11. Cool on racks and then top with glaze.

  12. GLAZE INGREDIENTS:

    Powdered Sugar...

    Vanilla...

    Pinch of Salt...

    Half & Half to reach the desired consistency...
