Chocolate Banana Walnut Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Cocoa Powder
  • 2 tsps. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 Medium Bananas
  • 1 Large Egg
  • 1/4 Cup Melted Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Canola Oil
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar (Lightly Packed)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Cup Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 Cup Walnuts (Chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Grease a 9 x 5 in. loaf pan with cooking spray and set aside. In a medium bowl combine flour, cocoa powder baking powder and salt. Whisk together and set aside. In a large bowl mash the ripe bananas. Add the slightly cooled melted butter, canola oil, vanilla and egg. Stir until combined. Whisk in the brown sugar. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together, but do not overmix. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out mostly clean. (Make sure the toothpick doesn't land in a chocolate chip when testing.) Once fully baked remove from the oven and allow to cool on a rack for 15 minutes before removing from the pan. Cool completely before slicing and serving. ENJOY!
