What a great day!
We started with a wonderful breakfast at Perkins…
And in the afternoon we attended a Welcome Home program to introduce the girls to their Vacation Bible School teachers for the coming week of morning classes…
Emma, Delaney and Claire…front and center!
Then we hurried home to finish dinner preparations for our invited guests…Nana and Papa! And who could resist a photo opp with Peepaw, Papa and their grandgirls!
Then it was time for dinner!
From beer can chicken…
And ALL the fixin’s…
(And Emma helped to set a beautiful table!)
And then…DESSERT!
Papa and Peepaw shared duty of cutting the ice cream cake…
And Meemaw served a warm cherry compote over vanilla ice cream…and those cherries were hand-picked by Peepaw from the tree in the Mishler front yard! What a treat…
It was a really FUN day…and we were all happy to share it with one another…
