I’ve had a hankering for Chinese food for while now, so tonight I Googled our neighborhood choices and I found Crazy Wok on Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale. It’s close by, so we hopped in the car and went to check it out.
When we walked in we were surprised to see a tastefully decorated “real” restaurant. (We expected the typical “take out” Chinese spot.) They do have a “take out” counter where you can place your order, or (we found out later) you can be seated and the friendly cashier/server will come by your table and take your order.
Since we hadn’t eaten there before, we were unsure about what to order, but I think we both made excellent choices. Hubby got the sweet and sour pork. (I try not to think about what dye is used to make the pork sauce SO RED.)
And I ordered the delicious Chicken with Garlic Sauce. After I ordered it, I noticed it was described on the menu as SPICY, so I was a little worried, since I’m not a fan of “hot” foods, but it turned out to be just right! It was loaded with crispy fresh stir-fried veggies…and when we combined BOTH of our choices on each of our plates we were both very happy.
We both agreed we will absolutely go back to this place when the urge for Chinese food strikes again!
