April 1, 2015 by Meemaw Leave a Comment

A bunch of our friends got together for a “Pot Luck” recently…and I offered to make a this dish to top the steaks…

MUSHROOM RED WINE REDUCTION

I’ll try to break the recipe down to smaller quantities for you…

RECIPE:
2 pkg. Portobello Mushrooms, sliced, and stems removed if tough
2 cloves garlic, minced (can omit)
1/2 small onion, finely minced (can omit)
1 big “glug” of Worchestershire Sauce
1 C. Red Wine
1 Veg. Bullion Cube
1 Beef Bullion Cube
1 large coffee cup of hot water
1 “glug” of steak sauce (can omit)
Assorted Fresh Herbs, chopped (I used Rosemary and Thyme)

What a GREAT way to top a steak!
