Soup to Nuts Cafe – Sturbridge, Massachusetts

September 18, 2010 by Meemaw Leave a Comment

Dorothy Enjoys TWO soups…
and Homemade Bread

If you’re looking for a unique dining experience in an out of the way location…Soup to Nuts may be just what you’re looking for!  This 28 year old lunch spot is a spot only the “locals” can direct you to.  (It’s upstairs in an old mill, so be ready to climb some stairs to get to it!)

TRAVEL TIP: ASK A “LOCAL”! Dorothy and I stopped at the Sturbridge Visitors Center where we met “Bob”…and the first thing I asked him was…”Where do YOU go for lunch?”  He was quick to recommend the Soup to Nuts Cafe.

This quirky little tea room has been in the same location for 28 years. Our lunch was awesome, as expected, and our server, Val, made us feel right at home.  We sampled the Crab Salad, Tomato Florentine Soup, and Bacon, Tomato, Spinach and Cheese Quiche.

Val even brought us an extra soup (Corn Chowder) to sample when she found out we’d been traveling since 4am!  EVERYTHING served at the cafe is homemade and the decor is eclectic.  That makes for a winning combination in Sturbridge!
