The Vintages Trailer Resort – Dayton, Oregon

October 2, 2016 by Meemaw 2 Comments

When the Mayor of McMinnville told us to get in the car so he could show us a trailer park…we didn’t ask questions. We went along for the ride. And that ride took us right down memory lane.

Halfway between McMinnville and Dundee, Oregon we were introduced  to The Vintages Trailer Resort. The 14 acre Willamette Wine Country RV Park is home to this separate neighborhood of fourteen vintage trailers…the kind you may have only seen in photos or in old movies. And these trailers are available to rent…just like hotel rooms!

So come along for the ride with Mayor Olson and First Lady Candy…and we’ll take a drive through is unique trailer park.

Most of us have seen one of these old, silver “toasters” somewhere…

But notice the addition of the air conditioning unit on the roof. Each of the fourteen vintage trailers has been equipped with air conditioning as well as hotel quality mattresses and bedding, terry cloth robes, a fully equipped kitchen with all tableware and utensils, and even a BBQ grill. Even the most discriminating guest should feel right at home. Oh…and remember…you’re in wine country…so The Vintages Trailer Resort even provides a wine opener in each kitchen. (No surprise there!)

Each trailer also includes two vintage-style bikes, so guests can take a short joy ride over the bridge to explore the quaint little town of Dayton. You can even ride your bike to pick wild blackberries if they’re ripe during your stay.

Every unit is unique…

And, for an added fee, you can even decorate your yard with a flock of pink flamingos!

There is even a dog park nearby, if you choose to bring your four-legged family member along on your vacation.

And no vintage trailer park would be complete without several of these “throw back” chairs…

There is even a swimming pool and a hot tub available for guests of the park.

Yes…this short “road trip” truly was a trip down memory lane. And I’m guessing you’re beginning to understand…when Mayor Olson says to get in the car…we GET!

Now…how about a glass of wine…
